We will study best practices and lessons learned from past MCI and Triage events to better prepare us individually, as a department and community in the event of an MCI. Case studies will be presented and the audience will be challenged to critically think how they would respond in the event of an MCI. We will also be doing hands on triage by utilizing patient cards and selecting the appropriate category for the 120 plus patients.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to accurately triage large numbers of patients in a rapid systematic way.
Upon completion, participants will able to describe and apply best practices and lessons learned from past MCI events.
Upon Completion, participants will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of MCI and Triage events and apply this to MCI drills and events in their communities
