Bouvier, is a paramedic/professional speaker known nationally/internationally, began his Fire/EMS career in 1975 as a volunteer firefighter/EMT, became a career Firefighter/Fire Chief/Paramedic until 2012. Coincidingly worked for New Orleans EMS and became Deputy Chief of Operations until 2019. Served as New Orleans EMS Commander for major events including Mardi Gras, Super-Bowls, Hurricanes and managed EMS crews featured on the A&E TV Show NIGHTWATCH.
Bouvier, recipient of the 1989-NAEMT EMT of the Year, 2008-Morando Lifetime Achievement, 2019-Louisiana EMS Lifetime Achievement, 2022 Westwego Firefighter of the Year..
NAEMT President 2004-2006, Life Member Westwego Fire Department, Louisiana Firemen’s & Fire Chief's Association & NAEMT.
Written contributions in 14 EMS textbooks and serves on the EMS World Editorial Advisory Board. Frequently presents at Fire/EMS Conferences and serves as Deputy Fire Chief Westwego Fire Department.
