Vinny Romano, MSc, CF, began his career in 2000 working on the Patient Transport Service giving him the foundations to progress to frontline Emergency response, becoming a Paramedic in 2004 . He gained his BSc in Paramedic Science becoming an Advanced Paramedic in 2010, this role allowed him to further his higher education, gaining his MSc in Advanced Practice. He has completed research on staff wellbeing, including journal publications, specifically around implementation and management of Trauma Risk Management (TRiM). This interest was the basis of his recent Winston Churchill Fellowship Award, travelling across America visiting EMS providers, and education institutes exploring health and wellbeing of EMS staff. More recently his became the first Consultant Paramedic for Education in the UK and has spoken at a number of national conferences.
