Andy Gienapp is the Deputy Executive Director for the National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO). In his current role, Andy is leading many of NASEMSO’s significant projects, including the effort to develop EMS Workforce Measurement Guidelines. Andy served for over 10 years as the State EMS Director for Wyoming, leading that state’s EMS system through significant changes including recognition and legalization of Community Paramedicine, streamlining the licensure process for EMS personnel, implementation of statewide data and patient care reporting, and adoption of the EMS personnel licensure compact. Andy served as a member of the Technical Expert Panel in the development of the EMS Agenda: 2050 document. Andy holds a Master of Science in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland – Baltimore County.
