W. Scott Gilmore, MD, FACEP, FAEMS has been involved in emergency medical services for over 26 years. He started his career in healthcare as an Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance in a suburban fire-based system. He continued his training and became an EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic and EMS Instructor. On the national level, he is a member of Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. He practices clinically at a busy suburban emergency department and is the Medical Director of St. Louis Fire Department, Affton Fire Protection District and Lemay Fire Protection District. Dr. Gilmore is a respected speaker, having given numerous presentations at the local, regional, and national level on various topics in emergency medicine and emergency medical services.
