John Sammons, A.A.S., NRP, is a Paramedic and Field Training Officer with Wake County EMS in Raleigh, NC. With more than 20 years of experience in emergency medical services, John has served as an EMT, Paramedic, Field Training Officer, Relief Advanced Practice Paramedic and Relief District Chief. He is also an experienced educator having been lead instructor for multiple Wake County recruit academies, initial paramedic and EMT education programs and conducts continuing education programs. John has also served on multiple local committees in his agency. He is passionate about education, leadership, patient centered care and developing the future of emergency medical services. John also participated in the inaugural class of the NAEMT Lighthouse Leadership Program, has had multiple articles published in industry publications and encourages others through his blog.
