C. J. Winckler MD, LP, FAEMS, is the deputy medical director for San Antonio Fire Department. He is also a medical director for Wilson County ESD 3 and North Channel EMS and Texas Emergency Medical Taskforce Region 8. He has developed multiple novel programs including behavioral health, prehospital whole blood, paramedic dispatch telemedicine, and advanced trauma tactics. He was a paramedic for over a decade before becoming an EMS physician.
