Firefighter/Paramedic Shane Stocking has spent nearly 14 years in the fire service in both Southern California and Florida, where he is currently assigned to the Community Resource Paramedicine (CRP) Program for Gainesville Fire Rescue. In addition, he has worked in alcohol and drug detox/treatment and has studied in substance abuse counseling. In 2022 he became the first firefighter in Florida to undergo the full LEO CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) course. Within CRP, he engineered effective partnerships with local LEA and pioneered fire involvement in crisis de-escalation and sex trafficking intervention. His passion is leading sustainable medical mission trips to South America and Africa, which he has done since 2012. Shane resides in Alachua County, Florida with his wife and three daughters and believes serving others is our greatest human responsibility.
